Trinity Church has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 82 since 1955 with Franklin Evert as the first Scoutmaster.
Approximately 55 Scouts have been awarded Eagle Scout status over the years while affiliated with Troop 82. The status of Eagle Scout is the highest rank a
boy can attain in Scouting. Only about 2% of all Scouts are fortunate enoug
h to attain this
goal. This is a very impressive record!
A Scout wishing to attain the level of Eagle
must complete a community project. Trinity
Church has been fortunate to receive the
benefits of this requirement. Many of the
Scouts have chosen to do projects at the
church, helping to maintain the church
facilities.
The Troop constructed a Memorial Garden
in memory of one of their Scout leaders.
They annually conduct a blood drive and
have adopted Cross Road as their "Adopt a Highway" project.
The Scouts meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
